A Presentation by Janice Shade of Milk Money
Join us at the Main Stage Saturday, September 23 at 3:00 to hear Janice Shade’s advice on seeking and securing capital investments.
Janice is an entrepreneur and writer with over 25 years experience in strategic planning, brand management and financial strategy. She gained valuable formal training with companies such as Procter & Gamble, Welch’s, and Seventh Generation before launching her own entrepreneurial ventures in 2006. She considers herself a “pathological optimist” and sees obstacles as opportunities.
Her current venture is Milk Money L3C, a pioneering “invest local” crowdfunding platform where Vermonters can support their local economy by investing in Vermont entrepreneurs.
Her successes and failures, struggles and homeruns are the basis for an upcoming book that explores the impact of traditional capital markets on social entrepreneurism.
Janice received a B.S. in Finance from Boston University and an MBA in Corporate Strategy from Yale School of Management. She is an avid skier and hiker, devoted soccer chauffeur/sherpa and experimental cook. She lives in Jericho with her husband, two daughters and dog.
