Scrounge-a-thon. Using a lot of common sense and a little money to solve real world problems
Does your team like to tinker? Like to solve problems? Want to strengthen Vermont's economy? reduce carbon emissions? and maybe start a business? And sing about it? (song required).
If so-then enter the first annual Vermont scrounge-a-thon.
Lori is a geologist, fluvial geomorphologist, builder and boat designer who has worked with basic needs, from affordable housing to clean water to her (newly!) patented GoHydro modular hydroelectric power system. She believes that to be sustainable-a project needs to be affordable-whether it is housing or clean water or energy. She believes that we need to keep a very open mind-since many of our potential solutions can cause big problems. The Scrounge-a-thon is a way for adults to get out of the way-and help kids solve the problems we have caused.
