Zoom Balloons, balloon artist, will give out balloon art to people who participate in creating a community collage. It's fun, easy, and open to all age groups
To Whom it may Concern,
I am writing this letter as the co-creator and organizer of the Jersey Shore Makerfest. Last year, my colleague Tiffany Lucey and I had the good fortune of being put in touch with "Mr. Zoom" (Earl Hicks). While we work closely with the nearly 100 makers invited to our annual event to ensure that their presence represents the educational and open-ended aspects of making the fest advocates, we were intrigued by media sent to us by Earl and thought his presence and creativity would bring something to the event that has been somewhat lacking.
Makerfest is attended by nearly 4000 people annually, and to say Mr. Zoom was one of the highlights would be an understatement. Mr. Hicks was in constant demand, not only because of his high visibility product, but because of the force and positivity of his personality. With each balloon creation, the dialogue Earl engaged the crowd with made them think, feel, and imagine-- exactly the tone an event meant to bring community together to create should be. I only hope we can get him to return for Year 5!
I have been in education 33 years and I know a natural teacher when I experience one. I can't recommend Mr. Zoom enough!
Sincerely,
Marc Natanagara, Ed.D.
